Docklands Maritime Artists are a group of local artists interested in preserving Melbourne's Maritime history through paint.
The Mission to Seafarers runs the annual ANL Maritime Art Prize and Exhibition.Participating artists seeking maritime inspiration might choose to come to Docklands and paint around the local maritime heritage trail. This is fast disappearing in Docklands and so groups like the Docklands Maritime Artists raise awareness to our maritime history in order to preserve what is left of it and help to create spaces to restore the historical significance of maritime history.
